Spread across several small islands farther out to sea, the Henningsvær fishing village has been formed by nature. In the past, everyone could row a boat. Today bridges are required to reach the islands. The locals produce dried, salted fish, cod roe, Lofotpostei sandwich spread and fillets of fish.
